Detectives continue their investigation into the deaths of two people in the Ojai Valley.

Investigators say the two were a married couple.

Detectives have released new details about the deaths of a husband and wife in Ventura County.

Ventura County Sheriff’s deputies were asked by family members to do a welfare check on the couple, who lived just outside of Ojai.

The family told deputies they received a concerning letter. Officers responded to the couple’s home on Cruzero Street Tuesday afternoon, where they found the bodies of the man and woman in the house, along with a gun.

The Ventura County Medical Examiners Office is conducting autopsies to try to determine exactly how the deaths occurred. But, investigators don’t think anyone else was involved.
