Actress Cate Blanchett returning to Santa Barbara International Film Festival for new honors

Cate Blanchett will be one of the honorees at the 2023 Santa Barbara International Film Festival.

Blanchett will receive the festival's 2023 Outstanding Performer Of The Year Award

One of the biggest names in Hollywood is returning to a South Coast film festival to be honored for her latest film. Cate Blanchett will receive the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s “Outstanding Performer Of The Year” Award for her starring role in the drama “Tar.”

Blanchett has received the festival’s “Performer Of The Year” honors before, for “Blue Jasmine” in 2008. She also received the “Modern Master Award” in 2008.

The Australian actress has appeared in more than 70 films, and won two Academy Awards.

The 38th annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival will take place February 8-18, with Blanchett set to be honored on February 10.
