A rocket carrying nearly four dozen small satellites into orbit was successfully launched from the Central Coast Tuesday night.
The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket took off from Vandenberg Space Force Base at 10:40 p.m.
The launch was visible on parts of the Central and South Coasts.
The rocket carried 46 Starlink satellites into orbit. They are part of a network of satellites intended to provide internet service to remote areas of the world.
The reusable first stage booster successfully landed back on a drone ship off the West Coast, completing its seventh flight.
