Rain for the Central and South Coasts? No, it isn't a typo. Rain is in the forecast for Thursday

KCLU
A cold front is expected to mean rain for the Central and South Coasts Thursday into early Friday.

The heaviest rainfall is in the forecast for north of Point Conception, on the Central Coast.

Meteorologists say a cold front headed towards the Central and South Coasts will bring the best chance of widespread rain that we’ve seen in weeks.

The cold front is expected to arrive on Thursday. The Central Coast could see a quarter to a half inch of rain. South of Point Conception, rainfall totals are expected to peak in the quarter inch range.

The system won’t stick around long. It’s expected the cold front, and rainfall activity will clear the region by early Friday.
