Three shot following argument in Ventura, gunman still at large

Three people were wounded in a Ventura shooting Monday.

Detectives are trying to figure out exactly what led to a shooting which left three people wounded on the South Coast.

It happened just after 4 p.m. Monday, on the 2700 block of Sherwin Avenue in Ventura. Police say there was an argument inside of a business.

When the people involved went outside, the gunman apparently opened fire. A man and a woman suffered life threatening wounds, while a third victim was shot in the arm.

The gunman fled before officers reached the scene. The shooting occurred in an industrial park area which is also home to some businesses.
