Wind has been hampering firefighting efforts in Hollister Ranch blaze

Firefighters say strong wind is hampering efforts to control a brush fire in Santa Barbara County. As of Sunday afternoon, the fire on Hollister Ranch had charred about 100 acres of brush. Containment was at 20%.

An evacuation order issued for part of the ranch was downgraded to a warning Sunday afternoon. No homes have been reported damaged.

The fire started at around 11:30 Saturday morning, sending up a huge plume of smoke visible throughout the region. There's no word on what caused the fire.
