COVID-19 surge at South Coast jail continues to grow in size

The latest COVID-19 outbreak at the Main Santa Barbara County Jail has grown to 81 inmates.

22 new cases reported at Main Santa Barbara County Jail.

A COVID-19 outbreak at a South Coast jail continues to grow in size.

An additional 22 inmates have tested positive for the virus at the Main Santa Barbara County Jail. That brings the total to 81 cases among inmates since the latest outbreak was discovered at the jail December 9th.

No one has had to be hospitalized. 72 of the cases are asymptomatic.
