Ventura County District Attorney to headline virtual forum taking place Saturday.

No one likes to think that it’s something which happens in our backyard, but crimes like domestic abuse and elder abuse are much more common than you might think.

Ventura County investigates more than 7,000 domestic abuse, 4,700 elder abuse, and 3,200 child abuse claims annually. This Saturday, Ventura County District Attorney Eric Nasarenko and Deputy D.A. Michael Jump will be joined by the mother of a sexual abuse survivor to talk about help that’s available for survivors.

The County’s Family Justice Center is a central starting point for abuse survivors to access help from more than 40 public and private organizations.

Saturday night’s virtual forum is sponsored by the Chalice Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of the Conejo Valley, and the group Buen Vecino.
