A Thousand Oaks man has been convicted of first-degree murder in the shooting death of his wife.

Thousand Oaks man faces potential 50 years to life sentence.

A South Coast man could get a 50 years to life prison sentence after being convicted of murdering his wife.

Prosecutors say Tim Gautier got into an argument with his wife Gina at their Thousand Oaks home. They say the 56-year-old man then went to another room, grabbed a gun and fired two shots, killing her.

During the investigation, Ventura County Sheriff's detectives say they found audio from a surveillance camera which caught Gautier abusing his wife leading up to her death.

A jury convicted him of first-degree murder this week. He'll be sentenced in November.
