A Central Coast college has come up with a huge new incentive for its students to get fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Cuesta College will give all enrolled students who provide proof of their shots $250 gift cards. Registered students who are already fully vaccinated can get the cards starting next week.
Students just have to being their proof of vaccination and their ID to the main San Luis Obispo campus or the Paso Robles campus. And, all vaccinated students will be entered in a drawing for a $5,000 scholarship.
To help with the vaccination effort, Cuesta will hold a vaccination clinic on its main campus August 30. Vaccinations aren’t mandatory for the college's staff and students, but officials are hoping this new program will encourage more people to get shots.
