Cal Lutheran Latest University To Add Mandatory COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement For Students, Staff

Requirement takes effect for staff in summer, students for Fall semester

A Ventura County university is the latest institution to announce it will have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement this fall.

Cal Lutheran will require all faculty, staff, and students on its campuses to be fully vaccinated. University officials say they decided on the requirement after consulting with public health and campus experts.

Faculty, staff, and other employees will be required to show proof of full vaccination by July 15th. Online-only students won’t face the requirement if they aren’t physically coming to the campuses.

UC and Cal State university officials have already announced a vaccination requirement, as have a number of other private universities. Cal Lutheran is the parent of KCLU Radio.
