Santa Barbara County Jail Reopening To Visitors

COVID-19 safety protocols part of reopening

The Santa Barbara County Jail is reopening to visitors, after a months long shutdown due to COVID-19 safety concerns.

People will be able to visit inmates again starting May 10th. People are being required to wear masks and socially distance. There will be a half-hour limit on visitations, because the facilities need to be sanitized between groups of visitors.

Jail officials declared the facility COVID free last month.

Ventura County reopened its jail facilities to visitors last month.
