Ventura County Man Sentenced To Jail For Mortgage Fraud

A man Ventura County prosecutors say promised to help people in mortgage trouble save their homes mbut failed to do so has been sentenced to jail.

Javier Gonzlao Sanchez of Camarillo had pled guilty to two counts of foreclosure consultant fraud.

Prosecutors say the 56 year old man accepted more than $40,000 from two victims, but failed to provide any significant help. One of the homeowners ended up losing their home.

Sanchez was sentenced to a year in jail and ordered to pay full restitution to the victims.
