Storm Rolls Through South And Central Coasts With No Major Problems For Burn Areas

The brunt of the storm has already rolled in overnight across the South and Central Coasts with no major problems for burn areas. And that leaves scattered showers throughout the morning and early afternoon with the possibility of thunderstorms.

Forecasters say the storm will bring between one and two inches of rain.

As a precaution, Caltrans has shut down a section of Highway 23 between upper Mulholland Highway and Pacific Coast Highway.

High surf advisories are in effect until noon along the coast, with waves up to 13 feet on the Central Coast.

Things will dry out for Saturday evening. Then, Sunday night, another storm will arrive and last throughout Monday. And more rain is expected throughout the work week.
