More Storm Activity On The Way For Central And South Coasts; Snow Level Could Drop To 2000 Feet

The latest storm to pass through the Central and South Coasts triggered flash flood warnings Monday in some of the region’s brush fire burn zones, but fortunately didn’t cause any major new problems.

Rainfall amounts were generally less than an inch, though there were exceptions: San Marcos Pass recorded 2.8”, one of the highest totals in the area.

Other totals include 1” in Santa Ynez, .85” in Santa Barbara, .68” in Ventura and .65” in Westlake Village.

However, another band of storm activity coming Monday into Tuesday could be really interesting. Rainfall amounts will be light, but the snow level will drop to between 2500 and 3500.

Tuesday night we could see snow down to the 2000-foot level. We’ll get a break from the rain and snow after that for the rest of the work week.
