A tip about a possible illegal marijuana growing operation in Ventura County has led to the discovery of thousands of plants.

Ventura County Sheriff’s investigators say after gathering enough information to get a search warrant, they raided three properties on Maple Road and South Ventu Park Road in Thousand Oaks.

Investigators say they seized 3200 marijuana plants, evidence of a marijuana sales operation, and 12 guns.  While large scale grows are now legal for those with permits, detectives say the indoor operation in Thousand Oaks wasn’t licensed.

No arrests were made, but the investigation is continuing.
