Launch Of Spy Satellite From Central Coast Postponed For Third Time

The launch of a spy satellite from the Central Coast has been posponed for a third time

High winds led to a planned launch of a satellite from the Central Coast being scrubbed Tuesday, with the liftoff now set for Wednesday night.   It’s the third postponement for the launch of a Delta IV rocket with the satellite from Vandenberg Air Force Base.

The first two delays were due to technical issues. United Launch Alliance officials say the launch planned for just before six Tuesday night has been bumped to 5:44 Wednesday night. Depending on the weather, the launch could be visible throughout much of California.
