Insurance Company Announces Shutdown Of Facility On South Coast; Nearly 70 Layoffs Planned

An insurance company has notified Ventura County that it’s going to shut down one of its facilities in the county, and lay off nearly 70 employees.

State Farm Insurance sent a letter to Ventura County officials saying it will shut down its Westlake Village Operations Center.

In the letter to County Supervisors, a company representative says the closure is permanent, and that the layoffs will occur by November 30th. The State Farm official says the workers have been notified in writing they will be losing their jobs.
