Some 1300 marijuana plants were seized from what authorities say was a fraudulent cannibis growing operation on the Central Coast

Law enforcement officers say they’ve busted a cannabis cultivation facility on the Central Coast operating with a fraudulent permit.

Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office investigators say the large scale operation was on the 2000 block of Wild Oak Road near Lompoc.

The Cannabis Compliance Team served a search warrant at the site, seizing more than 1300 marijuana plants, and 500 pounds of processed cannabis.

The case is being referred to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney’s office to determine if charges will be filed against the operator.
