The storm system which brought some heavy rainfall to the Central and South Coasts has almost wrapped up, but some thunderstorms are possible between now and Thursday morning. Rainfall in the Thomas, Hill, and Woolsey Fire burn zones ranged from around a quarter of an inch of rain to around two and a half inches.

National Weather Service meteorologists say we could see another quarter to half inch of rainfall by midnight Thursday.

More thunderstorms are possible, but like the ones earlier today forecasters say they will move so rapidly they won’t drop concentrated amounts of rain in brush fire burn areas.

Some rainfall totals include 2.95” on San Marcos Pass, 2.46” in Montecito, 1.8” in Ojai, 1.2” in Newbury Park, and .73” in Agoura Hills.

No evacuations were ordered, and no major problems have been reported in the region’s burn zones, although some trees were downed, and some rock and mud ended up on roadways.
