A man struck, and fatally injured in a hit and run accident in Ventura County which authorities are calling suspicious is now being identified. Jorge Gonzales was the victim of the incident in Oxnard.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Fifth and Meta Streets at around 2:30 Sunday morning, where they found the critically injured Oxnard man. He died a short time later at a hospital.
Detectives say they are still trying to determine exactly what happened, but they think the 23 year old man may have involved in a dispute with the driver of the SUV which ultimately hit him. Police are still looking for that man.
