A controversy over a proposal to convert one Ventura County community's only elementary school into a charter school has been rejected by the state. KCLU's Lance Orozco reports busloads of people drove to Sacramento to take part in the State Board of Education hearing which decided the fate of the plan for Piru Elementary School.
