There's a program which is trying to insure that homeless veterans without family, or friends are still remembered. The Dignity Memorial Homeless Veterans Burial Program involves some cemeteries, funeral homes, the Veterans Administration, and veterans groups. Santa Barbara County has announced plans to close some popular beaches this weeekend, to try to prevent a massive unsponsored, unsanctioned beach party known as "Floatopia". KCLU's Lance Orozco reports it's the second year in the row the tactic has been used to try to prevent public safety, health, and environmental problems at Isla Vista's beaches.

It's an almost forgotten part of baseball, and broadcasting history. Some baseball game broadcasts didn't originate from ballparks. The were re-creations, using telegraphed reports of the game, and sound effects.
