UCSB Arts and Lectures presents Aurelia's Oratorio. Aurélia Thierrée is the latest to emerge from a long dynasty of great entertainers. Her sweetly engaging family-friendly circus theater spectacle is a riveting combination of physical theater, comedy, magic and dance – all set to a quirky soundtrack of accordions, chamber music and gypsy jazz. Aurelia’s Oratorio is inspired by the blithe humor and silly antics of European Circuses and imbued with a magical, visual wit that London’s Evening Standard has called, “a breath of softly surreal air, an illusion show that softly turns the world upside down and inside out.”
