Event Description
The City of Oxnard invites the public to celebrate the Grand Opening of the Southwest Community Park Extension at the corner of Fifth Street and Patterson Road in Oxnard.
This event highlights the opening of the 5.5-acre extension to the existing 26-acre Southwest Community Park built in 1998. The park provides the community and the surrounding neighborhoods with opportunities for outdoor activities and includes a playground, a walking track, a half basketball court and picnic tables complete with BBQ grills and open turf areas.
Recent Grand Openings of parks include the Southwest Community Park West Extension, East Park and Vineyards Park, and Garden City Acres Park.
Join us next month for the Grand Opening of three more parks: Central Park, Village Green Park and Gateway Park, located in the RiverPark community.
