Event Description
The League of Women Voters is hosting a community forum, Closing the Achievement Gap.
Led by Jane Close Conoley, Dean of the Gevirtz Graduate School of Education, UCSB, Sally Kingston, Principal of Harding School, Abby Vasquez or Jennifer Gibson, Teachers on Special Assignment, English Language Development.
Discussion will include: research on how to bring up achievement levels, recruiting, educating and retaining teachers, the role of the principal in successful schools, and the development of in depth English language skills
