The first person to swim the Bering Strait discusses her extraordinary experience and signs copies of her book Swimming Beyond Borders: Crossing Channels and Making Waves.
Lynne Cox is a bold risk-taker who has explored the far territories of human endurance. The world’s most extraordinary long-distance swimmer, she has braved some of the coldest and most treacherous waterways in the world with gritty dedication and indomitable spirit. The first person to cross the Strait of Magellan and the Bering Strait, among many others, Cox – a Glamour magazine Notable Woman – has been inducted into the Swimming Hall of Fame and is the author of the memoirs Grayson and Swimming to Antarctica.
