Event Description

Cal State Channel Islands’ Rotaract Club is hosting an event called Peace & Love Fest to support its ongoing efforts in Rwanda improving orphanages.

No need to register. Just show up at the CSUCI HUB (from University Drive, take first right as you enter campus and you will dead end into the Hub). The walk is for all ages and starts at 6:00. The dance is more appropriate for teenage/college-age. Music will be provided by CSUCI’s own resident DJ Lucid with sets of hip-hop, dance, pop, and rock. The event will also feature a presentation about Rotaract’s work in Rwanda and MC Publius. Attendants will also have the opportunity to send in Valentine’s day messaged to be displayed during the dance.

The walk is free, but donations are greatly appreciated. The dances cost $10 each and will be a blast. Enjoy decorations, a great DJ, and a slideshow explaining the Rwanda Orphanage Project.

A parallel event will be happening on February 12th at the Malibu Inn also featuring DJ Lucid, MC Publius, and a presentation. This parallel event will be 18 and older.

If you cannot attend, but would like to donate and leave a peace/love message to have scrolled at the events, please mail a check to the CSUCI Rotaract Club (memo: Rwanda Orphanage Project) to
