Michael Pollan - Speaking Engagement
Thu, Jan 17, 2008 at 8:00pm
UCSB Campbell Hall, Campus of UCSB, Santa Barbara
Event Description
As heard on KCLU's Cross Talk, UCSB Arts and Lectures presents an evening with Michael Pollan, as he signs copies of his book "In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto."
“Eat Food. Not too much. Mostly plants.” These words to live by from the award-winning author of The Omnivore's Dilemma resonate at the heart of Pollan’s newest work In Defense of Food: An Eater’s Manifesto. He considers what science does and does not know about diet and health, proposing a new way of thinking about food that is informed by ecology and tradition. The Knight Professor of Journalism at UC Berkeley, Pollan is a regular contributor to The New York Times Magazine.
Books will be available for purchase and signing.
