As heard on KCLU's Cross Talk, the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History presents a new exhibit "Crossing the Sahara in an Old Clunker"
In early 2007, Jonathan Smith and Trygve Harris drove a donated Volvo station wagon from England then across the Sahara Desert to West Africa as part of the Plymouth-Banjul Challenge. Predictably, they ran into a series of misadventures.
Jonathan Smith will be showing the presentation of their journey at the Santa Barbara Natural History Museum.
