As heard on KCLU's Beyond Words, The Santa Barbara Screenwriters meet each second Thursday of the month in Santa Barbara.
Former co-executive producer of the TV show "Quantum Leap," Pratt's first novel tells the store of 18-year-old Cole "Lazer" Lazerman, who, one spring day in the territory of Atlantia, witnesses the slaughter of his family and 2,700 innocent people by the Black Guard, bioroids who have been created only to protect humans.
The monthly Screenwriters Association meeting is free and open to the public. Everyone is welcome to mingle with screenwriters, poets and novelists at the monthly meetings.
