Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., Thousand Oaks

Event Description

The Conejo Valley Women’s Resource Center presents a special Community Education Seminar with Miriam Grossman, M.D., a UCLA psychiatrist and author of the book, Unprotected. Known for exposing the dangers of political correctness within campus health and counseling, Dr. Grossman will present her research and demonstrate the hazards of ideological agendas in medical healthcare.

Dr. Grossman will expound on the increased number of college students who are seeking help relating to the effect of STDs, unplanned pregnancies, abortion trauma, bad relationships, emotional effects of “hooking up” or “friends with benefits,” and the biochemistry of bonding.

Miriam Grossman, M.D., is the author of Unprotected: A Campus Psychiatrist Reveals How Political Correctness Endangers Every Student. She is a Senior Fellow at the Clare Boothe Luce Policy Institute, a non-profit organization that strives to advance America’s women. Unprotected draws on Dr. Grossman’s 10 years’ experience as a staff psychiatrist at UCLA Student Psychological Services.
