Event Description
The Camarillo Art Center presents a “Ray Ayers Retrospective” featuring paintings by Camarillo’s own loved artist, Ray Ayers.
Ray Ayers passed away last May 4. This is a great opportunity to see his work, possibly for the last time. Most of the paintings have been loaned by the Ayers family and some are from collectors of Ray Ayers paintings. Ray was an early member of the Camarillo Art Center and served as its President for several years.
If you ever visited the Camarillo Farmers Market you probably met Ray painting under the large shade tree. Those who knew him can recognize his watercolor paintings of Camarillo and other scenes of Ventura County.
We are open Saturdays and Sunday from 1 to 4 pm. Open and free to the public. The exhibit beginning July 19 and continuing until August 10, 2008.
