Event Description
On May 20 over twenty elementary and secondary schools in Goleta, Santa Barbara and Montecito will participate in Bike to School Day. The event encourages children to use a bicycle to get to and from school on this celebrated day.
Schools often make this a "walk and roll" event- encouraging any form of alternative transportation to get to school. Festive greeting tables, the school band playing, donated prizes and healthy snacks welcome children who walk or roll to school on this day. We encourage parents, teachers and community leaders to get involved and walk or roll with the children for fun and for exercise! We thank Open Air Bicycles, Hazard’s Cycle Sports, Bicycle Bob’s, Fun Wheels, Play it Again Sports, and McConnell’s Ice Cream for their generous contributions to Bike to School Day.
