Event Description
Vita Art Center offers an altered niche book Workshop. Instructors Lori Zimmermann and Melissa Kirkegaard guide students in altering an old book to create a rich, multi-dimensional work of art dedicated to their individuality. Students will choose three small items to represent aspects of their personality, interests, values, or aspirations. The remaining pages of the book will then be embellished to expand on the symbolism of each of those items. We will include pockets, folded pages, and pop-ups in the book. Students will use a variety of mixed media techniques throughout the book, including collage, rubber stamping, creating texture, using acrylic glazes, altering photos, and embellishing with three-dimensional items. $25. material fee included in price.
