Event Description
The Santa Barbara Trust for Historic Preservation and Sullivan Goss- An American Gallery present, "Views to Vistas: Impressions of Lockwood de Forest (1850 - 1932) at the Casa de la Guerra Historic House Museum. The exhibit will run from May 1, 2008 through June 29, 2008.
Featuring more than 30 oil paintings and sketches from the prominent American Orientalist and plein air painter, this is one of the most comprehensive Lockwood de Forest exhibits to date. Rarely seen paintings from private collections and Sullivan Goss holdings from the de Forest Estate.
The gallery is open from Thursday - Sunday Noon - 4pm.
Museum admission is $3, children 16 and under are free.
