Event Description
The Resource Center for Nonprofit Management at the Ventura County Community Foundation offers the Board Leadership Institute, a seven month intensive leadership training program developed to elevate volunteer board members’ ability to govern local nonprofit organizations and to demonstrate leadership on behalf of the nonprofit sector.
The certificate program, a part of the larger Board Leadership Initiative, provides opportunities for in-depth discussions on key topics impacting Board members and Board service. Each module will be moderated by Dr. Susan Murphy, PhD., Associate Professor, California Lutheran University School of Business, and facilitated by community experts with extensive experience in the nonprofit field.
The Board Leadership Institute will be held on Wednesdays with breakfast provided. The intended audience includes leaders currently serving on a nonprofit board of directors or those who are interested joining a board. The cost of the Institute is $375 for the first registrant from an organization and $275 for each additional registrant from the same organization.
