Turning Point Foundation presents a Community Building Breakfast with keynote speaker, Brian Wetzel.
"That Voice in the Wilderness is Laughing" is Brian Wetzel's keynote presentation on clinical depression. Brian Wetzel was a successful stand-up comedian whose career and personal life became absorbed with his ongoing struggle with clinical depression and subsequent addiction. He found himself on the brink of suicide through his 20's and 30's even as he built his successful comedy career. Out of his experience as a comedian and a person suffering with a serious brain/mood disorder,
Brian candidly shares his how his career as a comedian and his personal life became absorbed by his twenty-year struggle with his clinical depression, and subsequent addiction. He shares his experience and offers hope for himself and others as someone who has learned to live with, and manage the affliction.
