As heard on KCLU, Academy Award, and nine time Emmy winner Cloris Leachman will workshop her new one woman show CLORIS!
Academy Award, and nine time Emmy winner Cloris Leachman will workshop her new one woman show CLORIS! In Ojai before embarking on a 11 city US tour.
In her One Woman Show, Oscar and nine time Emmy award winner (more than any other actor) Cloris Leachman strides onto a new stage in her life. Well, not a completely new stage, the show derives its substance from when, at the age of seven, she began studying singing and became a concert quality pianist.
Not only will Cloris re-create moments from some of her most famous performances - Ruth Popper in The Last Picture Show, (for which she won her Oscar), Phyllis in the Mary Tyler Moore show, Frau Blucher in Young Frankenstein, Nurse Diesel in High Anxiety and Grandma Moses from Malcolm in the Middle - she will tell anecdotes of her experiences in creating those roles and the people she worked with.
Cloris will sing as she did when she played the lead in South Pacific on Broadway and she will display her amazing command of the piano.
