This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Beatles first tour of America, including their first appearance at the Hollywood Bowl.
We of course know the names of the four Beatles, but there was a fifth man involved with the group who’s now largely forgotten.
Sir George Martin arranged the music on some of their greatest hits, and helped create their unique sound.
In 2010, Martin visited Santa Barbara. KCLU’s Lance Orozco caught up with him, and on the 50th anniversary of the Beatles visit, brings ussome previously unheard parts of his conversation with the legendary producer about working with the Beatles.
