New Federal Study Says Groundwater In Part Of Santa Barbara County Being Drawn Down At Double Replenishment Rate

A remote area of Santa Barbara County with only one source of water has been using it faster than it’s been replenishing it for more than a half century.

A new study shows that the Cuyama Valley is facing a water crisis.

KCLU’s Lance Orozco reports the issue is already causing problems for residents, and agriculture in the 300 square mile valley.
