The Dallas Cowboys are wrapping up their summer training camp in Oxnard today, but team owner Jerry Jones is leaving the city with some good news, confirming that the team will be back next year.
The Cowboys are in the final year of a contract with Oxnard, but have a three year option. The Dallas Morning News reported that when Jones was asked whether the Cowboys would return next year, he said yes.
Jones gave Oxnard an even bigger boost when asked about future years.
The team is building a training facility in the North Texas community of Frisco, which is supposed to open in 2016. But, the newspaper reports Jones says the team will split its training camp time between Oxnard, and Frisco.
