Father, Son Arrested After Marijuana Cultivation Operation Discovered In Ventura County

Posted on Thursday, August 7, 2014 12:38am

It’s normally a good thing with a father and son team up on a project, but Ventura County Sheriff’s detectives say that doesn’t apply when it comes to a home marijuana cultivation operation.

Acting on a tip, narcotics investigators say they spotted some plants in the backyard of a home on the 100 block of Monterey Street, in Ojai.  They got a warrant, and discovered nearly 100 marijuana plants, more than six pounds of processed marijuana, along with thousands in cash, and two guns.

They arrested 52 year old Barry Lee Case, and his 23 year old son, Barry Neil Case, for cultivation of marijuana, and possession of marijuana for sale.
