Ventura County Passes 2014-2015 Budget, Up 4.2%

Posted on Tuesday, June 17, 2014 6:08am

Without fanfare, Ventura County Supervisors gave final approval to a $1.88 billion dollar budget last night for the upcoming fiscal year.

General fund spending is budgeted at $947 million dollars.

The balanced budget is up from 4.2% from this fiscal year.

While passage of the budget was low key, county supervisors will have to deal with a much more controversial financial issue today, when they decide whether to outright pass, or place a proposed county employee pension reform measure on the ballot.
