The Isla Vista rampage has cast a pall over the Santa Barbara area for the last few days.
Even for many not directly affected by the horrific attacks, it’s been difficult to try to cope with what occurred. It’s dominated media coverage in the region for more than three straight days.
Counseling centers, psychologists, and therapists in the community have been stepping up to try to offer help, with many offering free services.

and how we can help others deal with the trauma.
