The nation’s largest bicycle race is going to roll through much of San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara Counties today.
In what could be the most dramatic start of the entire Amgen Tour of California, today’s stage of the race will start on the Pismo Pier. Riders will head south through Arroyo Grande, the Santa Ynez Valley, and over San Marcos Pass before the big finish on Santa Barbara’s waterfront, on Cabrillo Boulevard.
The cyclists are set to leave Pismo Beach on the 107 mile stage of the race at 11:45 a.m.
The race will finish in Thousand Oaks on Sunday, with a circuit race in the Conejo Valley area.
