Coroner’s officials say a toxicology report shows there was drugs in the system of the driver of a car in a double fatal traffic accident on the Central Coast.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Department Coroner’s Unit says tests show there was THC and codeine in the blood stream of Jeremy Martin when he was behind the wheel February 26th.
Investigators say the Grover Beach man was trying to cross Highway 46, near Union Road in Paso Robles when he turned in front of an oncoming pickup truck. Martin was pronounced dead at the scene, as was his passenger, Christopher Medina of Paso Robles.
Police say they found marijuana in the car at the time of the crash.
