UCSB Gets $5 Million Dollar EPA Grant To Study Impacts Of Chemicals On Environment

A federal agency is awarding UC Santa Barbara nearly $5 million dollars for research to better understand the impacts of chemicals throughout their life cycle on the environment.

UCSB is going to use the Environmental Protection Agency Funding to develop an online tool to evaluate the life cycle impacts of chemical, and materials.

EPA officials say its part of an effort to develop safer chemicals, and to minimize risks to the environment, and human health.
