The tour bus involved in the deadly Northern California crash which has left 10 people dead, including five high school students was owned, and operated by a Central Coast company.
San Luis Obispo based Silverado Stages confirmed that it was one of its buses which had been charted by Humboldt State to bring prospective students from Southern California to tour its campus.
The CHP says that preliminary reports are that a truck crossed through a freeway median, leading to a head-on crash with the bus on Interstate 5 north of Sacramento, near Orland.
In addition to the ten confirmed deaths, some three dozen people were injured.
The driver of the bus was among those who died, but there’s no word yet as to whether he was from the Central Coast.
