State Transportation Commission Allocates More Than $11 Million Dollars For Highway Projects On Central Coast

The State Transportation Commission approved more than $330 million dollars in new transportation projects, including more than $11 million dollars for projects in Santa Barbara, and San Luis Obispo Counties.

The new allocations include $7 million dollars to improve a 10 mile stretch of pavement on Highway 46 in San Luis Obispo County, near the Kern County line.   The Commission okayed spending $3 million dollars for improvements on a two mile stretch of Highway 101 from Los Osos Valley Road, to Monterey Street In San Luis Obispo County.

The state agency also allocated just over $900,000 for curbs, and sidewalks in the San Luis Obispo area, and more than $480,000 for pavement treatment for Highway 101 in the Gaviota area.
